Things I've noticed/learned on the Leung Family Roadtrip to Vancouver/Calfornia 2006:
-ROGERS is a cell phone company in Canada. Learned this when my cell phone display went from CINGULAR to ROGERS after acrossing the border.
-NONE of the gas stations in Oregon are SELF-SERVE. NONE. (This is not an exaggeration, the gas person said so himself.)
-The Skytrain in Vancouver rocks
-There are soooo many asians in Vancouver
-Best Western hotels are pretty awesome
-Vancouver's chinese food > Colorado's chinese food
-The gas stations in Canada go by cents/litre, NOT dollars/gallon..for example, 113.5 cents/litre
-Canada jacks a lot of US television shows...i mean a LOT. (talk shows, sitcoms, cartoons, morning shows, even news shows, etc)
-There are a LOT of LEUNGs living in Vancouver. In a phone book for Burnaby, BC (suburb of Vancouver), LEUNGs filled up about a page and a half!!! CRRRAAAZZZY
-There are few to no STOP signs in Canada
-There's only ONE major highway in Canada, rest are "local' highways
-US-> Canadian currency...1:1.12...about the same.
-Curreny has the usual American coins, then their $1 and $2 are coins also, with the usual bills (5,10,20,100) also...
-Did I mention how many asians there were in Vancouver????
-Vancouver reminded me a LOT of Oakland/San Francisco...
-Vancouver's tickets/transferring/giving transfers for busses, trains, etc. are MUCH more efficient than Denver's
-There are PHOs in Vancouver
-Aurora and Oakland in the SAME state?!?!?! Only in Oregon
-There's a road named Chuckanut Dr. in Washington
